Ampeg B15N FS/FT for a 70's V4/B!

This is an Ampeg B15N that I got in trade from here on talkbass. It is an amazing amp and sounds just perfect! Great condition with all the original magnavox tubes. I even looked inside the head and it looks brand spanking new. It has really been taken care of in its life. This is my second B15 (the other a 68) and this one just sounds better for some reason. It is pure heaven with my 72 P with labella flats. The only reason I am looking for a sale or trade is that I am afraid it just doesnt have enough headroom for me. I dont really want to mic it cause my band has a sorta crappy PA and I never run through it. I went from a vintage SVT to this. I need something in between so I dont have to mic, but will be not so massive as the SVT and break up a bit at lower volumes.

This B15 is all original except for the speaker. It has a vintage Cerwin Vega in it that sounds warm like a CTS but with more lows. I really like this speaker alot. I actually automatically bought an Altec 421 for it on ebay that turned out needs a recone. Hard to compare the two with the Altec needing a recone, but the CV sounded way warmer and thicker with huge lows. A great match for the B15 in my opinion.

I am really interested in a partial trade for another 70's Ampeg: V4 or V4B. Possibly a V2 or B25B as well, but prefer a V4B. I would prefer one with a recent cap job

Will sell for $875 shipped outright FedEx AIR.

A truly nice b15N. I would keep it forever if I had the money or gigs for more than one rig.

I'm the previous owner of this B15 and I can vouch that it really does sound incredible. I wouldn't consider the Cerwin Vega speaker just a replacement, but a wise upgrade.

My deal with the seller went great, and the FedEx Air will get you the amp in good shape very quickly. It worked flawlessly for an SVT and 8x10 after all.

good luck denton, whoever gets this should love it.

Thanks bro! Yes the Cerwin Vega speaker was a real suprise. It sounds real good.

The amp is great. I just need a little more wattage...like 60 to 100 watts.
