Ampeg B200R $225 shipped! Darkstar, more stuff!

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm listing these goodies elsewhere as these prices are great but there have been no takers here... although this thread is locked please PM me to see if something's still available.

Every numbered item below is $225 shipped, paypal, ConUS. Firm.
Click for pictures.

Not sure where to place this ad so I'm placing in amps/cabs at least until the amp and cab are sold... (?)

1. Darkstar pickup pre-wired to Bayou cable harness with tone and volume. Never installed. Perfect for a P-bass or other project.

2. SOLD Moses MusicMan fretted graphite neck. With real, black Schaller BM tuners and string-T pre-installed. Nut, included, never installed. Mounting bolts are pre-installed for any Musicman or G&L bass--just bolt the neck on, mount the nut, and you're done. (Musicman necks can be used on Fender basses if you insist by either moving your bridge 1 inch closer to the neck, or routing your neck pocket one inch deeper.)

3. Moses MusicMan frettless graphite neck. Just like the fretted neck above, except I bought this one used many years ago. It also has the black Schaller tuners and string-T pre-installed, has mounting bolts pre-installed, and nut is included but not mounted. This one has two cosmetic issues: one very small hole was drilled through the headstock but has been filled with black epoxy and is hardly noticable up close. Also, there's a surface hairline crack on the headstock between 2 of the tuners. It was like this when I got the neck about 8 years ago and poses no problems other than cosmetically upon very close inspection. (You can't see these flaws from 2 feet away.)

4. Ampeg B200R. 220w tube pre Ampeg combo with 15" and horn. I bought this on local craigslist cause it was such a good deal. I definitely don't need it, I just had a GAS attack of course. It has an issue that I read is fairly common with these amps: the head unit has become detached from the combo due to a design flaw: the bolts are not strong enough/do not have a proper anchor points to hold the head unit in place. This can be fixed in about 2 hours work by any real man. I'll let you fix it yourself for this price. (The next guy may not like the way I'd fix it.) An absolute steal of a deal. The head unit has a dent in it but functions fine. The cabinet itself looks great with just a small nick or two in the tolex. This amp is hardly 2 years old.

5. Steinberg Nuendo 1.x fully legit with license on USB dongle, box and CD. And a Behringer ADA-8000 8 channel AD/DA converter/preamp. Together. This combo orginally totalled well over $2000. You snooze you lose. Snag this now!

6. SOLD Two little Trace Elliot cabinets. From the late 80's. Cost like $700 each back then. These things would take a bullet and still sound great. One is a single 10", the other is a 10" + horn. Makes a great mini-stack! This is another craigslist snag that's been sitting in my garage for about a year--put them to use!

7. 1990's Ibanez ATK bass project. In non-original hardshell case. Bass sounds fantastic, but frankly this neck sucks. It has been sanded on the back, the Ibanez logo removed, and is bowed too much. The previous owner adjusted the truss rod with an incorrect tool. I snagged this for super cheap with good intentions but it's just been sitting there like all the rest of this stuff! Oh, it has a super-cool custom-fit oval pickguard ala MusicMan. Original pickguard included as well. I value this less than the other stuff, so for this ATK, let's say HALF OFF the one price listed above! This would be great for putting a new neck on, or repair the current neck (may just need adjustment) or defret and make it a fretless! $112 shipped in a hardcase is a deal!

I'm interested in those Trace Elliot cabs. Can you hit me with a photo?

Thanks, Tom.

I'll add photos for everything later this evening. Thanks for everyone's interest.

A few questions about the necks: i bought one brand new (I think it was @ $400) and one used. I bought the tuners brand new--they were @ $100 per set with shipping. They are both "as new" except as described above.

Also interested in the Trace speakers. Are those the BLX-series extension cabs?

The hand-written markings wore off the Trace cabinets many years ago. From my research I believe them to be 1010 and 1010h models. You won't find any info on them on the Web. The guy I bought them from had bought one of them new in nashville about 1988 and the other one used around the same time period. He told me he paid $700 for the new one, and I believe him.

Aww, sorry I didn't make it a public message instead of private (or both). Couldn't foresee all the interest about to happen.

You know, being first and all...

I'm supposed to be getting rid of stuff anyway, so maybe it's better if you buy them.

I saw your sale thread Tom, interesting stuff there too. Just trying to help you out you know. Been lots of times the good folks have helped me out by buying up gear that was tempting me when I didn't need it. Sort of a public service we share around here I guess. TalkBass is a great community ain't it?

I, for one, noted the irony. Not that I've ever done the same thing...

Well crap!! I wanted the Trace 10's. Man, you've gotta be quick around here. Maybe next time these cabs come around I will be able to get 'em. I will probably be about 80 years old by then and have arthritis and not be able to play.

By popular request, here are the pictures: http://www.idealtracks.com/TalkBassStuff/

And BTW, the dent in the Ampeg isn't near as bad as I recalled. I took a close-up--it's dime-sized.

And I still think the ATK looks really cool with that MM pickguard. And maybe the neck really isn't horrible--there are worse playing new Fenders at Guitar Center. ha!
