Ampeg PR1832 HE (Victor Wooten Model)

Ok, guys. This cab is a monster so local only. Got this in a trade a couple years ago. I can't even load it in my car (Toyota Corolla) which is why I'm selling it. The sound is incredible and if I could transport it then this would easily become my main cab. The punchiest cab I've ever heard. It really gets that Victor Wooten sound nailed. It does not deserve to be sitting in my storage space.

*Handles 600W.
*Has a slanted 18" speaker, 2x10", 2x6.5" and a horn.
*Built-in wheels with roller bar handle.
*Switchable Full-Range and Bi-amp operations

For more details, check out the manual:
http://www.ampeg.com/manuals/PR-1832.PDF

Covers the entire frequency range with ease. Given the choice I would choose this over an 8x10 in an instant. In my opinion this is rated rather conservatively, this cab seems much louder than my Schroeder 212PL which is rated at 800W. I just wish it was more portable. The cab itself is in pretty good shape. I think one of the speakers, either a 6.5" or 10" could use a re-coning as it will start to honk funny went you hit certain notes.

Pick-up is available right outside Sacramento in lovely Davis. Because of the speaker issue mentioned above I'm going to ask $350 $225 (these cabs originally went for $1100 new).

I want that cab!!!

I'm in St. Louis, and have been searching for this cab for quite a while now. I used to own one, and have regretted selling mine ever since it left me. I am interested in discussing options on how to get it from you! I have a few friends in California (not sure how close to you) if you are adamantly against shipping that thing, but I will compensate you for your troubles if you could send it to St. Louis. Thanks for your time!

A club around here has one of these as its "house" cab. It is pretty monstrous. Never heard it break a sweat, even at stupid-loud (as in I'm mentally cursing people while I play) volumes. 600W power handling doesn't seem like a lot for a cab with all these drivers, but I can say that I've never heard this cab be the limiting factor in volume, whether I've played it or been listening to someone else play through it. I wouldn't want to carry it anywhere, but the "fridge handle" and wheels actually work pretty well for wheeling it on and off stage. For reference, it'll kill a typical Ampeg 410 HE in volume and low end.

Unless you're a lumberjack or wrestle professionally, though, it's a two person carry.
