great - amazing preamp! it's an older version that I bought here on TB but the previous owner sent it to Ampeg to get the necessary work done so this bad boy can drive ANY power amp (and drive them it will I never ran the pre nor the master on this unit past 5 to fully power a Carvin DCM1500 (over 1v sensitivity)
Comes with JJ and NOS JAN Phillips tubes - very clear sounding.
I was contemplating putting in mullards and RFT's to get some wooliness going on - but that was more a tonal palatte choice than a necessity.
Needless to say I'll ship the old preamp tubes as well.
It's lived in my rack for a little while and is in excellent condition.

yeah - played the B1500 tonight. it's not going anywhere (neither is my 1212R) - but this preamp is!
C'mon you know you want it!
I unracked it tonight and put it in a box - those nylon washers sure pay off - not rack rash at all - clean clean clean - looks great sounds even better!

I too got an SVPCL pre to use with my poweramp... the same week I got the Carvin B1500 mono block.. I returned the SVPCL and kept the B1500... the more I play that b1500 the more I like it.. but the SVPCL is a great preamp
Do I get the preamp now????
