Ampeg SVP Pro /Peavey Class D Rig

Sign in to disble this ad
Compact, light weight preamp/power amp rig featuring a near mint USA made SLM Ampeg SVP Pro preamp with 4 12AX7 and 1 12AU7 preamp tubes. This is the same preamp utilized in the SVT Pro II. Features the variable tube drive control which allows you to control the degree of that elusive Ampeg "grit" in your tone. It also has a graphic eq which enables further tone tweaking. It is paired with the brand new PeaveY IPR-1600 7lb Class D power amp. (530 watts per ch. @ 4ohms / 800 watts per ch. @ 2 ohms) All neatly packaged in a like new SKB Roto rack with Furman power conditioner. The entire package all buttoned up weighs only 26lbs. It delivers that buttery fat SVT sound in a managable convenient compact package. Asking 650.00 shipped Paypal only.

Does that Peavey power amp give thunderous sub bass bottom end? Not sure class D amps can do that.

The manual lists the freq response as 10Hz - 50kHz, so yeah I think it's capable of delivering thunderous sub bass bottom end with nearly unlimited headroom.

Nice setup at a great price. I used to have one of these preamps and it nails the holy grail Ampeg tone.

Let me know if you would be interested in selling the power amp separate, I already have an RBI that I love!

Sure, I will sell the power amp separately. These little amps really sound good. Pretty hard to beat for the price. They look pretty cool to with the blue lights. As an old stereo salesman from the 70's, they light up like an old Marantz 2270 receiver. At only 7lbs, what can you say. I used to have an RB-1. They really do nail that SVT tone. I still have a Sansamp BDDI stomp box that i use when I have to go direct. I will send you a PM.
