With me buying a new Ampeg Heritage 410HLF I find myself not needing this bass cab anymore. So up for sale is a American made Ampeg SVT 610 HLF bass speaker cabinet. The cab is in very good condition. All the speakers work great as well as the tweeter.
The tolex is also in great shape except for the very bottom of the cab in the corners where some of it has worn and pealed off. I have painted those area's with black paint
so you can even tell. I have also sealed where the tolex ripped so it cannot rip anymore. This is one of the last 610's made in American. Now they are made in Korea.
This cab is loud. It's also very portable with it's back skid rails and extra casters I put on the back. I can just roll it up to my car, lean it and roll it into the back of my SUV.
New they cost $999.99 at G.C. And that's for the Korean made junky version. You can get this one for half the cost and get a better American made product.
I will not ship this cab. It's to big and heavy. Plus it would cost whom ever bought it a fortune to have it shipped.
I will however meet someone halfway around the New England area or even down the CT/NY area.
Sorry no trades. Cash only please. $525.00

Also have you had the chance to compare the US version of the 610hlf to the ones built in Korea?

The 410 HLF has a much deeper tone and it can handle the B string a lot better. The 610 does throw more sound and fills the room better. But with the economy the way it is it's causing my cover band to have to play smaller venues where I don't need the 610.
I find that IMO the Korean cabs are not made that well. I have had both and the U.S. ones sound better and are built better. For example you can feel it in the tolex. When I run my hand across my U.S. one the tolex feels tight and well secured. When I did it on the Korean one I had I found the tolex felt very loose. Like it could peel off at anytime. Plus I noticed the speakers on the Korean versions don't handle the power as well as the American ones. They seemed to fart out quicker as you turned up the volume. And I don't want to open up a can of worms with a debate over American verses Korean versions of Ampeg cabs. Thats been done.
Bump and price drop to $500.00.

Meaning MA, CT, RI, NH, ME, VT. For the price that I am selling this for I can't afford to drive this thing more than 2 hours from my location. It's just not worth to me.
As much as I need to move it to get my other cab I don't have the time and funds to be driving that far. Sorry. Bump and price drop to $450.00. It goes to Daddy's Junky Music for trade if it doesn't sell here. And they will mark it up to $700.00! Thanks for looking.

This is a great price for a wonderful cab.
My favorite Ampeg cab.
I used one of these, with an Ampeg V4BH Head, for medium gigs.
It killed with the V4BH.
And an SVT for bigger gigs. |

One last bump before it goes to trade. $450.00 takes its. It's not going any lower than this.
