Ampeg SVT-III PRO Tube/SS Head - USA

For sale is my mid-90's model Ampeg SVT-III PRO. This is the exact same amp as the newer models except it has banana plugs and a different casing. It's in great condition and has been racked for most of its life. Has some light wear and sticker residue on top and a Phish Big Cypress sticker still on it. No noisy pots. Excellent tube + solid state sound! Low humming sound upon powering up, which is normal from what I'm told. I'll let it go for *edit* $375 shipped *edit* to CONUS, international contact me. I would trade for a nice 210 cab.

Price seems fair; the later model units (different graphics but banana plugs) sell regularly for $450 here and on eBay

You're probably right. I had bad timing the other day when I missed an $1100 Modulus Q5 on eBay. Win some, lose some.

I may be interested, but I'm waiting on some other stuff... I feel like it may not be enough to get the most out of a single 8 ohm goliath 4x10...

but it is a hell of a price.

It's surprisingly powerful @ 8 ohms actually. Might not get the most out of your Goliath, but it would definitely drive it well. I've read here on TB that this older model has a preferable power amp section that really kicks. I'd have to agree.
