I was at my local music store and they had an SVT1000 and he said that'd be good with a SWR 410 they had (~400w, not sure at what ohms though). I don't know a ton about this amp and cab stuff...I just know I played the Ampeg 115 with tube pre-amp and loved what a tube pre-amp does to the sound...I would expect this amp to be similar. |

He said it was their most popular ampeg amp they sold (before LOUD took a dump on Ampeg). I'm thinking about pairing this with an SWR 410 they have at the store for $400 or asking the TB'er on here who is selling his 410HE for $275 if he'll consider shipping and how much it'd be.

Never really knew what I wanted before enough to feel comfortable buying something "blind"...especially with amps and cabs. I trust the guy at my local store (friend of the family) and he said I'll enjoy the amp...he knows what I like. |
