This is the 1976-1979 model Ampeg SVT all tube bass amp. 300w of terror. Warm, gooey, tube terror.
As you can clearly see, it's in very good shape and I've taken really good care of it.
Original GE power tubes, some Groove Tubes. I cleaned the inside and removed the fan to clean it.
The power cable could be replaced at some point, but I don't want to mess with that. It works fine as it is.
So, according to the kindest, most helpful people here at TB, I may have a Magnavox era SVT. I've been told it's a V9, but the front CLEARLY says SVT. The rear plate says V9.
THANK YOU !!!
$2,200 local SF Bay Area. I will ship if needed. It will be an extra $150 for packing/shipping

It is a sweet amp regardless of what you call it. |

Bump !

I've never seen a V-9 head. I used to run a V-9 cab (9 -10's!) but with a V-4B. That was plenty for me! |

mb94952, I'm confused as to what you have here since your rear plate clearly says V9 SVT, but the front plate says SVT, so I think you have a regular ol' Maganvox SVT here. The power amp was identical on that era SVT and V9, but the preamps were different. Maybe they only manufactured one rear plate in that era and used it for both units.
Mine's a V9, and it only has two inputs, (one of which was for a distortion channel).
V9 head case also doesn't break back the top front corners like an SVT does.
I think you just have a (super awesome knock your block off) Magnavox-era SVT, not a V9. |
