So being a GASaholic I frequently jump on deals then, later move them when I am into the next best idea.
I was gigging two Acme 4 ohm B-2 cabs powered by a Genz Shuttlemax 12 with much satisfaction. I bought the Ashdown LG1000 as a backup to the Shuttlemax 12. (nervous boy never goes to a gig without a backup head). It does 500 watts per side into 2 4 ohm cabs or less into 2/ 8 ohm cabs.
This amp head is reliable, barely used, except at rehearsal and can push 2 cabs regardless of ohmage. i.e. I have an Avatar 2x12 neo at 4 ohms and a 1x12 neo at 8 ohms. each 12 gets the same watts, for around sevenfitty total. 2 2x12s would max the head. This head has a deserved IMHO rep for a weak preamp which gives you the reason to doubt the 1000watt rating if you are using a passive bass. Use a bass with a preamp or some tech 21 pre or pedal and you are better off.
This will rust in my closet if I do not sell to tb. Got it from Thomman in Germany so it comes ready for US but with Euro 220v chord too.
