I hope that you don't regret selling this mario. Hey everybody, I just got one of these and if you have been mulling over the the idea of getting one just do it! You will not be dissapointed with it. This is a great preamp for bass and Mario is a good guy.

I probably will regret it... but this is one of those things that was on my list of things to do before I die... like drive a Porsche at 200+ MPH, Sky dive, hang glide, bungee... etc. It sounds phoenominal, and I may wind up keeping it, but I'm in the mood to share the wealth of the experience. The next thing on my list is the Aguilar DB680. After that will be a Walter Woods. I should probably put the Millenia Origin on the list, but my buddy nightbass has one for me to try out if I can ever get up to his neck of the woods. I've had the Manley Vox Box experience, so that box is checked. In all honesty, the best pre set up IMO was my Alembic F1X with a Bugle Boy Tube feeding the SF2 direct (not with the SF2 in the FX loop). I should probably give up my "ultimate Pre Quest" and get those two boxes again... BUT NOT YET!!!

How do you like yours? Used it live yet?

Another bump. I understand the "quest". I have sold alot of gear that had no problems whatsover, just to try something else. I really don't have anything left to try except for berg cabs and demeter preamps.

The colors, the knob style, and it says "Mercinary Edition" on it.

Here's the standard Avalon version...

and here's the Mercinary Audio version.

It's kinda like good vs. evil

Thanks for the links. I was gonna get to that... I probably should have included it in the original post.

It is the exact same thing as the 737sp except that it has the black face plate and black knobs. Under the hood, there is no difference between this one and the one with the aluminum faceplate and knobs.
