Avatar B410 Neo - <20 hours of use

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all,
It looks like I sold my Classic 400 (guy is supposed to pick it up Sunday), and this is the cab that I had matched to it. Edit: 4 ohm cab! Sorry about that.
It's the black carpet version.
Info on these can be found here:
http://avatarspeakers.com/

I bought this about 2 months ago. It has never been outside of my home, never pushed hard. It has maybe 20 hours of very light playing on it. I'm not even sure the speakers have "broken in" yet!

I can take pictures of it with my cell phone if needed. I don't have any other camera available to me at the moment though .

New this would be $487 to your door.
Being that it's like brand new, I'd like to start this at $400 to your door (con US), negotiable.
No trades what so ever.

Nope. Even if there was a published spec on it, I wouldn't really put much weight into it.

Fair enough. How well does this cab handle the low B then?

For comparisons sake, I A/B'd it with:
SWR 12-stack (4x12, no tweeter/horn)
Ashdown MAG115 (1x15, no tweeter/horn)

This thing goes deep. Very deep. It honestly keeps right with the SWR. I'm bouncing between the two of which one I want to sell for sure. I like the Avatar as it's smaller and lighter, and with the horn can do the modern/hi-fi thing better. The SWR does that old school rock tone just perfectly though. It's a pure toss up. I might list the SWR and which ever sells first will be it .
Comparing to the Ashdown, there is no comparison. It goes just as deep as it, but with a lot more definition. THank you, 10's.

Now, I don't have anything realy "high end" to compare it to, so I'm sure an Epifani or Bergantino or something will probably "do better", but they'll also cost 2x as much.

I own one of these cabs and it handles the B string just fine. If I had the cake this cab would be mine. Someone buy this cab you won't be sorry.

Don't worry about the cab being 8 ohms. I use mine with a Thunderfunk 550 or 420,and have no problems being heard. This cab will put out some serious lowend if you need it to.Low B is not a problem.
