Nice rig, just more than I need. I am downsizing to a combo as soon as I sell off my rig.
I played it locally about twice a month from 2002 to 2005, and occasionally since then. Always racked and covered, except for gigs. I bought the Demeter used, the rest brand new -- never any maintenance, always sounded great.
Vintage Demeter Tube Preamp VTBP-201 w/Jensen transformer
The vintage model that impressed the Bass Player Magazine staffers. They not only raved about it in their Preamp Shootout -- they adopted it into their reference rig. Tube sound, plus great clarity. The Jensen is a great-sounding and versatile direct-out. Scratched on the top and bottom from rack-mounting, but otherwise excellent. My flash pics aren't very flattering to it -- it's front panel is a nice, uniform black, not black and gray. PRICE DROP: $399 plus shipping.
Carvin DCM1000 Power amp --- SOLD! ---
700W RMS @ 8 Ohms bridged (matches perfectly with the 700W, 8 Ohm SWR). That's the only way I ran it, and it never got warm. It can also be run 1000W @ 4 Ohms bridged, or 225W per channel stereo at 8 Ohms, or 350W per channel at 4 Ohms. Fits in 2 rack spaces and is only 10 inches deep. It is a very nice sounding power amp for bass. This amp looks almost brand new and will ship in its original packaging.
SWR Goliath III 4x10 700 Watt 8 Ohm Cabinet
I never drove this cab hard, and only ran it with matched power. It sounds great and looks good too. 2 fixable issues worth noting -- a wheel squeaks (in Jack and the Beanstalk, the Giant's security system for his auto-harp was like this) and one handle doesn't spring back by itself (but works great otherwise). PRICE DROP: $330 plus shipping.
SKB 6-Space ATA road rack (rails front and back)
Has minor scratches, but no other issues. Includes 8 clip nuts, screws, and nylon washers. PRICE DROP: $70 plus shipping.
