BBE 383 preamp

I'm not using this preamp anymore, so it's time to move it. It's a BBE 383 solid-state, single rack space preamp. It has 6-bands of EQ, Compressor, Sonic Maximizer and Crossover. It's in excellent condition and comes with the original owners manual (not a copy). $215 shipped and insured in ConUS.

Is the DI pre or post eq ? Will it be enough for 5 string bass ? I'd use it with a Carvin power amp, what power amp did you use ?
