BBE BMax-T.... 265.00 Shipped Conus

Up for grabs is a very nice BBE BMax-T tube bass pre-amp. All functions of this unit work and operates without any issues whatsoever. The top of the unit has a few minor scratches from being taken out of racks. Faceplate is very clean with the exception of a minor ding by one of the rack ears. Rack ears are straight.

I just sent this preamp to BBE to have the input gain mod done on it. So it's got a clean bill of health. It will also come with a NOS Jan 5751 tube loaded. This tube has a slightly less gain than a 12ax7. In my opinion the 5751 has a fatter tone to it. I will also include a NEW JJ 12ax7. If you prefer to have the 12ax7 loaded in the unit just let me know. In any case, you are getting 2 very nice tubes.

Info from BBE:

No other bass preamp on the market can approach the total quality, professional feature set and incredible tone of the BMAX-T. The BMAX-T is a high quality tube bass preamp/processor with applications both in the recording studio and on the road in demanding live applications. At the heart of the BMAX-T is a class A, DC regulated tube preamp section - a classic tube preamp that recalls the traditional designs of the 50's and 60's. The BMAX-T features a high voltage (300V) tube front end that provides all of the pre-amp gain and passive interactive tone control. The high-end DI section is transformer-balanced with a genuine Jensen transformer for the ultimate in warmth and presence. 1% metal film resistors, military-spec PC board and custom-made toroidal power transformer complete the no-compromise design of the BMAX-T.

While no expense was spared in the engineering and internal components, the packaging of the BMAX-T received the utmost attention to detail. From the 1/4 in. thick extruded front panel to thoughtfully designed ergonomics to the red-abalone-topped knobs, the fit and finish of the BMAX-T exudes quality craftsmanship.

This is also listed on EBay but I will end the auction if anybody is considering this.

Looking for 265.00 shipped. Conus. USPS money order.

Features

The BMAX-T is perfect anywhere an extremely high-quality, pristine preamplifier is required for the bass guitar

In the recording studio where a bass amplifier is impractical due to space or loudness considerations

In performance applications, where players will find the BMAX-T ergonomics intuitive and easy to use.
