Demeter Pre, Crest CA-9

Willing to ship...prices don't inlcude shipping costs.

- Demeter VTBP-201 Tube pre-amp for bass (1.5U version): $475
- Crest CA-9 Solid State Amp (rated at: 8 Ohm Stereo - 600 Watts/ 4 Ohm Stereo - 900 Watts/2 Ohm Stereo - 1000 Watts/ 8 Ohm Bridged - 1800 Watts/ 4 Ohm Bridged - 2000 Watts): Sorry...no longer for sale.
- Korg DTR-2000 Rack Tuner: $115
- Furman RP-8 power conditioner: $65

Not a desperation sale...bottom feeders look elsewhere.

Only trade I'd consider would be a Kay Upright bass; maybe a Sadowsky J-Style 4-string, or an Ampeg B-15 Portaflex. Thanks for looking!

What's the condiiton of the Crest? I have the same rack set-up (with a different power amp) and am curious how you like the Dmemter/Crest pairing.

Good condition, rack rash on the ears. Works exactly as it should. I find the Demeter - Crest Pair to be a beautiful, thick sound; fast attack, punchy...sounded great through the Berg cab I just sold. Crest amps get a lot of praise amongst bassists and they deserve it IMO.

I used to have this exact setup, and it was the best sounding amp I have ever played through.

That is a heck of a setup. I'd keep the Demeter for recording, personally.

Funny that you should mention that...I'm thinking the same thing. I picked up an Ampeg B-15N with Jensen speaker and it sounds just amazing. My goal is to mic the Ampeg and run a split feed direct through a pre-amp. I'll be trying out the Demeter for that as well as my Great River and API pres.
