Carvin BX500 Class D 500 watts 5lbs 2 ohms

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD SOLD SOLD Carvin BX500 head Brand New I took it out of the box and played it for about half hour I didnt need it I just couldnt pass up the chance to trade in a old broken ProBass 500, Carvin has a "Cash for Clunkers" going on right now.
It has really good sound flat and has a parametriv EQ for Lo mids and Hi mids that works really well Contour that works well and a nice EQ as far as the Compressor not bad if you just barely turn it on.Also sounds good for some pop and slap too if needed I didnt get a chance to try it in the mix but judging from the sound it will have no problems cutting through.
Tons of Features including 2 Ohm Capability.
300 watts @ 8 ohms
500 watts @ 4 ohms
500 watts @ 2 ohms (there is a switch on the back for 2 ohms)
Has a 12AX7 Tube preamp and a seperate drive control and a switch on the back to turn off the tube and just go through the solid state.
Tuner out,Effects loop,mute,Active/passive switch and a 9 band EQ.
I would say that the sound is a mix between a Shuttle 6.0 and a MB.
This is brand new with the warranty papers and receipt.
Asking $375 shipped to the lower 48.
I will post pics tommorow.

This is interesting. My brother wants to buy an X100B guitar amp head and I didn't see anything about this. That seems like a pretty neat idea for a special offer.

This head is awesome. If I didn't have one already I would definitely be buying this. This is a great price for an awesome amp!

And Sold.
Not really making anything after shipping but at least a old dead ProBass 500 amp helped out the cause and I got to try one of these heads out.

Where did you find that "cash for clunkers" deal? I'm not seeing anything on Carvin's website.

Here is a link to the Carvin website for the trade in details.
http://www.carvinservice.com/crg/service.php
On there main page there is a small caption that says to email donl@carvin.com that is who gave me the details and hooked me up.
The trade in that I did was a ProBass 500 and they give 30% off of RETAIL which was right around $350 including CA sales tax,$11 paypal fees and approx $20 in shipping which would put me at a $5 loss but they quoted me 30% of of some promotion price of $450 and were good enough to honor it after they discovered there mistake so I really paid $320 OTD so that means that I am getting $30 for the broken Probass that I traded in and got to try one out and "uglybassplayer" saved $25 or more depending if he had to pay tax locally or $20 for shipping from CA.
Confused yet??
