Custom shop Powered BagEnd 2x10 with 1000 watt Minima One Amp built in! An amazing cabinet with jaw dropping power built in. This Cab has been sitting in my home basically unused. I built the ultimate "small" electric bass rig and then soon after moved exclusively to the upright. the cabinet is 13 ply void free oiled birch with the usual drivers from bag end's 2x10 BX-D system. the sound is tight and deep with plenty of head room to drive with systems much larger than this. the harmonic detail is sweet and clear. you will love this cabinet! Price is $800.00 if I can bring it to you on the west coast, or $1000.00 if I need to ship it. just to get bagend to ship me a box to ship it to you will cost a hundred dollars alone. email me if you have any questions. |

I don't think he makes powered cabs anymore, but when he did the power amp looked a bit like the bag end unit you have there.
I am try to off load some stuff to make room, If this is still here when I am done, I am all over it.

BagEnd installs an amp with a wattage that optimizes the cab it is in. Guess the amp won't handle 2 ohms (for an extra cab), so why is it 1000W whan the 2 speakers are rated 400W?

Peak power handling is 800 watts. extra power in the amp = extra headroom... |

I ran one side of a Crest CA 9 through one of these (900 watts) with no problem, and it sounded great. I played an outdoor gig with a loud 5 piece band, and this one cab was plenty. I wish I could afford this one, but I can't right now.

Couple of questions for you; can it run an external cab?
Can the cab run without the amp?

But can answer as I asked those very same questions to BagEnd.
The amp on the cab is set and maximized to specifically work with the cab's speakers. So no, you can not run an additional or external cab. But there is a "through" connection so you can send the signal that the amp receives to an extra amp/speakers.
There is no factory prevision to connect a different amp to the cab's speakers. I think having that option would be cool and it's not too complicated but BagEnd does not like the idea. They said if I attempt to do that mod the guarantee would be void. |

I will say again though and as eddy is about to find out, this cabinet stands completely on it's own. If you have a good line to the House P.A. this is all you'll need for 99% of the gigs you ever play. So I wouldn't mess with trying to modify it in any way.... Enjoy!!! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
