Dave Hall Amps VT1-EQ-Bass Preamp For Sale

Sign in to disble this ad
This is mostly for sale; however, potential trades are...
The Moosapotamus ParaLooper; USACG P neck (very particular about this one).

Though this pedal puts out a very fat and sweet preamp tube OD, quality components and powerful functions make the VT1-EQ-Bass a top-notch bass Preamp/EQ/DI. However, since I have three other preamps/DIs and have a new DHA VT2-Twin-Bass to cover my OD desires, I'm passing this one onto you. I also have this listed in the Effects For Sale area.

This unit is in excellent/mint(?) cosmetic condition and functions perfectly. It was just looked over by DHA/USA and got a clean bill of health. Runs on 9-12V, using 500ma. Includes a DHA regulated 12VDC ps. Has rubber feet. Specs can be found at http://www.davehallampsusa.com/dhaus...gain_bass.html.

$225/obo shipped/insured to ConUSA only. Paypal is much preferred.

I have pics available, but I just can't get PhotoBucket to work for me. So, just drop an eMail to 'BrettsBass@comcast.net' and I'll get a few out to you. Thanks

Clean boost?

I know this is subjective, but just how loud can the output get while still being squeaky clean? Figure only with the boost switch on, of course.

Would be nice to have the versatility of a clean, hot output as well as getting the OD this box is built for...

You're right. This is subjective. But, here's my opinion..

With the IP Pad at 4 or 5, Gain pretty low (no dirt) at 1 or 2 and the Level at 8 or 9, my ears would be getting blasted. With these same settings, flipping on the Boost only as high as 3 or 4, I'd be afraid of destroying my EV 2x15. Now, that's with flat EQ, my power amp at 3 or so with a passive '51.

Of course, your milage may differ.
