Demeter HPB-1 Tube Pre-amp

PRICE DROP**It's a Demeter, you know the rep, it's one of the best.

$435.00 plus shipping within the CON US. Very minor rack rash on top and bottom. The power light needs a new bulb inside. ($7 Radio Shack) The bypass light still works and frankly I was never bothered to fix it because the mute switch light is always on, blue or yellow, depending on whether it's on or off, so you can always tell by that if the pre-amp is powered up or not. I will get the bulb replaced if it's a deal breaker for anyone. Just been too lazy to get to it.

what is the difference between this one and the VPB-1 model?

This model has a two band fully parametric Eq section, which is defeatable via a switch that takes it completely out of the signal path. Pure tube tone. These sell new for $899.00 or something like that.
