Demeter VTBP-201

Sign in to disble this ad
The Demeter VTBP-201 all tube bass preamp. This is the discontinued 1.5 rack space black face preamp. This is packed with sweet tube bass tone. This is the reference preamp used by Bass Player Magazine. I always wanted to try one, I'm glad I did, but it won't replace my current rig, so it needs to go.

It has scratches on the bottom, a bit of rack rash, and a hole drilled in the top cover to access the gain trim pot (apparently this is something people do to this pre. It's well done). It's in overall good shape though, the face is clean. This is the version with the Jensen DI.

$425 shipped in continental North America. Email for shipping quotes elsewhere or if you have any questions. Thanks!

I'm not really sure what you mean by that. If you're asking if it has one or two DI's it only has one.

The way it was explained to me is some have Jensens for both the -10 out and the +4 out. Many only have the Jensen on one.

Is there a way I can tell if that's the case? It gives no indication on the back.

Short of opening it up and having a peek, I don't know.

I'm sending you a pm...

xtra jensen

you don't have it...it's called the "Nashville Mod" and would be clearly visible in the back...pretty much next to your fuse, I'd imagine...not a stock item, but done by James.

Sorry, it's already in my hot little hands.

Thanks for that info deepbass9, I had no idea that the 2nd Jensen was a mod. I'll most likely end up doing it to this one.

Thanks Andrew!
