Dr. Bass 1260 1580 mega-mega stack!

Sign in to disble this ad
Need to kill with clarity?
Time for The Dr Bass Mega-Mega Stack!
Mega_mega Tone, without the mega-mega wait from the Dr Bass shop, which is basically a build-to-order operation.

Start with one custom ordered 1260:
1x12-6.5" mid driver w/horn
3-way X-over w/ mid and HF level control s
45HZ to 20kHZ
101 dB 1W1M
One 500 watt 4 ohm cab with Eminence Delta 12LF ceramic driver powers the low end, with an added 6" mid driver, and attenuated horn.
This small 3 way cab works great as a standalone for small to medium venues with everything from double bass to electric! The three way design with LF extended low range speaker slams with deep bass, smooth mids, and great top end.

Then, for added flexability, add one Dr Bass 1580:
1x15, 8" mid w/horn
3-way X-over w/ mid and HF level control
38HZ to 20kHZ
102 dB 1W1M
The low end is powered by the mighty 450 watt 8 ohm Eminence 3015LF neo driver: mega bass and less weight! Add an 8" mid driver and great horn, each with it's own attenuator, and you have a great middleweight cab capable of most medium to large venues. Again, great for everything from double bass to extended range electric bass.
The 1580, with dual attenuators for both the mid driver and horn is capable of a wide range of voice from pure vintage, to scooped and modern, and pure accurate 3 way reproduction.

Stack the two together, and you can take on anything. They play very, very well together depite the ohm diff between them. I ran them chained thru several rigs like the Mesa Walkabout, Thunderfunk and others at a 2.67 ohm total; or off sides of dual power rigs like the WT800b, and the rack preamp/poweramp rigs in my profile.
Both come with Dr Bass's excellent spray on bedliner finish, and custom fit covers.

Pics:

$750+actual shipping for the pair;
$350+actual shipping for the 1260
$400+actual shipping for the 1580

thx!
alan

UGH! if that 1260 was slanted, or that 1580 4 ohm, either/both would be gone - credit cards be damned.
Good luck with the sale, things seem to be really slow around here.

Sure wish I could afford that 1580! I've been interested in how it compares to the Carvin LS1503 that I have... bump none the less!

I've never played the 1503, so can't say for-sure, but I think there's at least one guy in the Car4vin megathread who has...

If it was 350 shipped to Austin 78704 then I'd snatch it ASAP too....
