Dr. Bass custom made 212 2 way cabinet

Sign in to disble this ad
I finally got the DRB cabinet I have been waiting almost 1 1/2 years for. Great sounding cab but in the interim I ordered something else.

So....... I will sell this for way less than it cost me to get.

36"H x 16"W x 17 1/2"D, about 70 lbs., I have not weighted it but the total weight in the box is 79 lbs.

FaitalPro 12FH500 12s and W6N8-120 mid/high driver, 4Ω, 1000 watts RMS handling. If you can pick it up or meet me within a couple hours of driving - $300!!!

If I have to ship it - $400, given the size (I do have an excellent shipping box/packing for it).

Markbass F1 not included!

This does not require a tweeter to get great high end, the FaitalPro 6 1/2" driver goes up to 10K easily and sounds better than most tweeters I have heard which are usually pretty harsh sounding by comparison. That is why I spec'd that driver in the first place.

I'm thinking I priced this too low. Watch for a price increase this coming weekend.

Hmmmm. Nice cab. Have been looking for something like this. Depending on how things work out this week Jeff and if it's still available I might take this off your hands.

Is this box pretty efficient? IOW can my LM2 drive it pretty loud?

It gets very loud with my F1 so the LM II will do just fine; maybe I should include earplugs!

Nice talking with you, earlier.

Gentlemen, the cab won't be available by the weekend if I can help it! (Jeff, sent you an email and another PM.)

Thanks for the call and for the time you took to answer my questions.

Gentlemen, I believe the cabinet will be wisked away to the midwest US to enhance the endeavors of a fine classical musician! He must be playing in the Spinal Tap of the classical world.

Jeff, I got your email and PM -- thanks!

To clarify, while I am a classical musician and I enjoyed the movie Spinal Tap (fittingly, the knobs on my bass really do go up to "11"), left to my own devices on the electric, I gravitate to funk (slapping, anyway) more than "Stonehenge." I am taking up the electric bass again after a long (decade-plus) layoff from it -- due in part to a challenge from my kid brother to record the bass tracks on his upcoming project. I've got some way to go to recover (and I hope eventually surpass) the bass chops of my youth, but I've been playing a lot and loving it (never did get rid of my bass!).

Now all I have to do is find a good head for this cab -- I've auditioned a few (albeit with different cabs), and have a few others in mind... but that's material for another thread!

Theres a whole lot to choose from. So many great amps out there now it's awesome. I would suggest the used route. Always some good amps in the TB classified. Just like this cab you got a screamin deal on!
