EBS Fafner FS

I have an EBS Fafner in great condition for sale. This is a grey line unit, which did have some reliability issues (which were addressed by some upgrades which EBS made when they revised the Fafner and brought it out as a blue line unit). However, shortly after it was bought, NOS (by the previous owner), it was sent to Shane at British Audio Service for a complete check-up, and Shane did all the "blue line" upgrades, plus a few tweaks of his own (like reinforcing the circuit board to keep it from flexing - I guess this was one of the problems that commonly occurred). Again, this was done by the prior owner (I am the second owner), so I am not 100% sure exactly what Shane did, but I trust his work, and the head has always functioned perfectly for me. I would like to get $850, plus shipping, and I'd prefer to sell within the lower 48. Again, this unit is in excellent working order and cosmetic condition.

Free bump for the best sounding amp I have ever owned. These dont get the praise they deserve on account of their rarity in the US... which stems form spotty distribution and high price on account of the exchange rate. I can say from experience you can pretty much ignore the output specs on the EBS amps across the range. These are incredibly loud amps fro their rating... and sound much more "substantial" and more muscular in the bass region than similarly rated amps. One thing EBS really has sorted out is the treble region. Use this head with a cabinet equipped with a high-quality tweeter, and if you're gonna be knocked over. I never knew that kind of sound was possible outside of a studio environment. I'm sure Tom will back me up here.... the EBS amps have the sweetest top in town!
