David Eden CXC 300 solo series hybrid combo amp. Two 10" 4ohm speakers/ 300watts. Add an 8 ohm extension cab and it's ready for larger venues. Part tube part solid state. USA made in 2000. Great tone - I'm told they don't make them like this anymore, so a great steal for someone who is looking for one of these. Has seen a lot of gigs, will post pics soon. $475. would prefer to sell in Atlanta area or possibly surrounding states. Would consider trade only for markbass 102p traveller or or other Markbass cab to Pair with my LM3 and 102p.

(I'm the Fender 24 guy.) I did some research and have some questions. I can only find this combo, or what most closely resembles this combo, in the 2001 Eden catalog. The catalog states that this amp runs at 400 watts at 4 ohms, not 300, and other sources tell me 225 watts at 8 ohms, which makes sense seeing as how the combined wattage handling of the two ten inch speakers is 250 watts. This tells me that the two speakers within the combo are almost certainly 16 ohms apiece, combining to equal 8 ohms, which would run the whole setup at 225 ohms RMS, and allotting the option to add a separate 8 ohm cabinet, running that setup at 400 watts RMS. The actual name of the combo is cxc-210c4?
Also, you state that the combo was manufactured in year 2000. I don't know how the whole manufacturing/cataloging process works, but there is no catalog for 2000, and the cxc solo series does not appear in the 1998 catalog, which is the closest one set at an earlier date.
Edit: I'd also like to know some of the characteristics. Could you describe its tone for me,tell me if it can hold a low B at high volume, and tell me if it starts to clip or distort at higher volumes?

| | | | Eden upgraded their heads in the CXC combo series. Not sure exactly when. I have a CXC1015 combo with the exact same head that's in the sale here. It does 180-ish watts by itself (8ohms) or 300w with an 8ohm extension cab (this is what I do). In fact, it's very tempting to buy this amp. I wonder what this would sound like paired with my CXC1015 cab? |

I played with an excessively loud rock band with an 8 ohm 15" extension cab. It had great tone and sounded good in the mix. Also has a xlr out for recording.
