Eminence 3015 (nonLF) Neo 15" Driver

I bought this 3015 HO (not the LF) to lighten up a Bag End S15-B-D cab, but turns out I prefer the original EV 15. Speaker was bought, brand new, taken out of orginal box, installed in cab, played for 5 minutes at most, removed and placed back original box. Perfect, brandy new condition - as close to a new 3015 as you could get. $150 plus shipping in original Eminence box (I need to convert back to cash to pay bills otherwise I'd hang on to it myself). Shipping shouldn't be much considering the ultra light weight.

If it's anything like the 3015LF (like the one I have in my cab) it will be quite stiff when brand new and be light on the bass end. Give it some power and play it at gig volumes for a few hours and the bass end will really open up as the speaker gets 'run in' - mine took about 5-6 hours of just playing it. Try it for more than 5 minutes and you might find you like it.

Of course if you just need the cash....

Thanks, good suggestion. Actually I have 3015s (both HO and LF) in a couple of other cabs. You are right about the need to break-in. I sort of accounted for that before I concluded it wasn't right for the cab I put it in. I love the Kappalites generally. I wish the "neodymium crisis" were not disrupting supply and cost. I suspect this driver was just never destined to sound right in a very old, refurbed, birch BagEnd sealed cab.

Now, isn't somebody going to grab this deal before I decide it makes more sense for me to hang on to it??
