Looks like S1 to me, but I guess it could be an early S2.

Definitely. The series 2 models are very clearly marked on the badges.

Yeah, but apparently the very first run looked nearly the same as the S1 from what I was told, so the now identifiable marks like the badge and cone signature would not stand out with the early S2s.

Not quite.

I think there were some early models of cabs that were shipped with the S2 drivers but there is only the old badge and the new badge, there is no transitional badge. Also, I believe all the transitional cabs were sold in very late '06 and very early '07. I was at the '07 winter NAMM last January and that was when the S2's were officially introduced. The official "now shipping" date was 3/16/07. Also, the cone signature has been gone for a really long time, and I THINK those were only on the non-UL cabs. I don't recall ever seeing a UL with sigs.

Don't get me wrong, this is not to be negative. The S1 cabs cut the thickest mixes like a ginsu knife and completely effortlessly. Very mid punchy and loud.

Doesn't matter, the OP knows what he has and has it correctly posted at this point... just FYI.

Very good point...I myself prefer the S1, so to each his own. This is an unbelievable cab!

Hey, sorry, didn't mean any harm. I just figured the info clarification and resulting bumps might help one way or another.
