ERNIE BALL Musicman Audiophile HD210 2x10" Cab (Designed by Markbass)

SOLD!

Have had this cab for a while and love it but I have too many cabs at the moment and have to start making room. This is one of the early EBMM Audiophile cabs that were designed by Markbass (before Markbass was available in the US). High-end, Italian made B&C speakers. From the EBMM press release:

The ported cabinets are built from 18mm high-grade plywood using sturdy rabbet joint construction and durable carpet covering. They are loaded with proprietary B&C cast frame drivers, with Neutrik Speakon™ connectors and ¼" phone jacks provided on the rear. Each enclosure is rated at 8 ohms...The HD-210 includes a 1" super tweeter....These enclosures can be used individually or together for the ultimate bass speaker system...MSRP $799

When I first got this cab, it had a band logo spray painted on the grill, so I sanded/sprayed over it in flat black. Looks new now. No rips or tears, not dents or cracks. Speakers/tweeter work perfectly.

Selling for $225 + shipping (should be around $50 for insured ground shipping to most of the continental US). I can ship international, but it will be expensive due to the size (around the same cost as the cab).

Great cab bump.

My favorite cabs! Smooth, powerful mids in this guy. He ain't lying about shipping though...I believe they're 63 lbs, so not for the faint of back. So worth it though. If I didn't already have two of these, I'd be all over this. Are you accepting trade offers, or FS only?

Very interesting. What's a good head to drive this?

I can't speak for everyone, but I use my GK 1001 RB with a compressore. The guy I bought my first one from had a Mesa Fathom I think, which sounded spectacular as well. In other words, should pair well with either SS or tube.

I would look at trades for basses, but no more amps. No room left! :)

I used several different heads in the past, including a Carvin B800, B1500, the matching HD500 head, a Traynor YBA200 tube head and my current Demeter pre/Carvin power rig. Sounded awesome with all of them, especially the tube flavored heads. This is not a sterile hi-fi cab with a "scooped sound" - it's got a beefy sound of it's own (with very nice mids as Cyclops bookworm pointed out)

How did you like the HD500 head with it (or in general)? I never have the cash when they come up and am actually extremely happy with my GK anyway. Just curious /bump.
