I have a matching pair of CXL-112's with the stained wood/engraved cabs. I have the original covers as well. 350W @ 8 Ohms. One of them works perfectly, the other has a metallic rattling in it. The low end in that one is smooth, the high freq attenuator still works, but there's just something moving around in there. I called EA about it and I'm going to go through the cab with John Dong's help tomorrow.
Anyway, I'd like to sell them as a pair, so if you're interested, let me know. I'm asking for $750 shipped for the pair as-is, $950 shipped if I get the ringing one fixed first. I could also ship the one working one to you and the other to EA if you like. I'm flexible. Let me know if you're intersted, here are pics or the working one. I'll get pics of the stack up soon. Excuse the dust on the cover - should have brushed it off.
what do these weigh? i'm trying to cut down on how much i schlep...also i didn't know you could order the wood finish! any details on that? Beautiful.
The cabs weight 55 lbs each. They are not lightweights - no Neo speaker or balsa wood here. Just uber solid and gorgeous. I don't know much about them - picked them up used at Guitar Center of all places a few years back and been loving them. The rattling started about a year ago after I moved - I'm assuming the moving company didn't handle them as gently as they should have. I'm going to take the cab apart today and see what the problem is.
I remember seeing similar wood finished cabs at a NAMM show a few years back. Definitely special order. EA had some issues with the horns on the CxL-112's early on, I have a friend with 2 that had the horns replaced do to weird noises.
