Euphonic Audio EA VL108s (pair)

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale is a pair of Euphonic Audio VL108s.....The sale will include a cover for each cabinet. These are in good used condition.

I would prefer to sell them as a pair, I believe these cabinets work better as a pair then they do individually. If you are interested in purchasing only 1 please PM me and I will hold your request.

$550 plus shipping for the pair.

I've gotten a number of PMs all asking the same questions so instead of responding to each PM here are my comments.

1. My spec sheets are on my home computer so I do not know the specific weight I will update the thread when I get home..

2. The cabs are 8 ohms.

3. I am willing to split up the pair but I will be asking $300 each plus shipping. However I will be waiting a few days to see if I can sell them as a pair.

4. If you are looking to estimate shipping my zip is 11702.

5. The VL108s are the smaller middle stack of cabs in the pics...

Cab width...

Hey Peter, I can't tell from the photos... do these have the same width as the VL-110 and VL-208 cabs? Same depth as either?

Also, if these three cabs are stacked, will the tweeters all be in one vertical line?

Thanks,
Chris

I found a spec sheet. The VL108 is a different width.

Ok - last one before I sign off.....
VL110 - 13.75h x 17.5"w x 14.5"d
VL208 - 18.5"h x 17.5"w x 13.5"d
All 3 cabs have the tweeter on the left side (as you face them) so you *could* stack them with the tweeter vertically aligned.

EA Dimensions

I have 2-VL208's and 2-VL110's and they're all the same depth (13.75), just measured them. Just FYI. Ken

Being that I'd prefer not to ship over the holiday's I am going to see if I can make a deal for the pair and may open it up to splitting them after the New Year...

I used one of these as my single cab for upright for several years. With enough power, it sounded better than about anything. (I heard "that's the best bass sound I've ever heard" on many occasions!) I have no idea why I sold it.

What is "enough power" for one or for two of these cabs?

Hopefully Jeremy will answer you directly.

My experience...The original Micro 300 works well and the new Micro 550 get's these things to about max output and certainly more then I'd ever use on a DB gig. An AI Focus is way more then enough.

The trade-off for the glorious sound quality and frequency response of the VL series cabs is their low sensitivity (well, that's the case with about any cabinet/driver that makes the same choices regarding priorities). I really don't think it's an issue anymore, when it seems like the smallest amp anybody is using is 300 watts! But when I was using an old Walter Woods lo-power (like 80 watts at 8 ohm) it didn't work nearly as well as when I plugged in my Eden WT400 (which could offer, I think, 250 watts at 8 ohm).

So unless you're using a tiny old Walter Woods or one of the GK micro heads (the MB150, not the MB2-500) it's not going to be an issue. Didn't mean to scare anyone! These are great cabs.

Dang. If I can dig up the cash I'll take them off your hands. Any interest in an Epifani UL-110 Series 1 as a partial trade?
