I have an EA iAmp 800c, which is an iAmp 800 and a CXL 112 cabinet. I also have an extension CXL cabinet with an 8 ohm Wizzy 12 driver. This is a unique setup that sounds amazing. The CXL 112 is super articulate and loud, and the other cab adds deep lows and natural sounding highs. The Wizzer equipped cabinet has much deeper lows than a standard Wizzy cab, but obviously isn't quite as light. I emailed John Dong @ EA several times before deciding to install the Wizzer 12, and his thoughts were right on the money. It's still light enough for me. The combo is heavier of course, but it comes with casters and the extension handle, making it easier to transport than a lot of cabs.
I truly dig the way this rig sounds, but just curious if anyone nearby (NYC/Long Island/Southern CT) has something that might interest me. I'm playing in an indie rock/pop type band and wondering about going to something that looks the part, like a tube rig. A one-cab rig might be a plus too. I like EA gear a great deal, so I'd also consider a lower powered EA head and different cabs, just to experiment.
