FS Mint Cond. AccuGroove Tri115L w/casters and padded cover $800 shipped

Sign in to disble this ad
Including shipping within CONT. U.S.: $800
SOLD
If you are reading this, you probably are very familiar with the reputation of this product line. This speaker coupled with my Thunderfunk TFB 550-B was without a doubt the best sounding rig I have ever played through. This unit was used for less than 20 services at my Church in a contemporary praise and worship band and has hardly been pushed. I am the original owner of this cabinet, it has only been used in my smoke free home and church.

New these cabinets retail for $1179 (w/o the cover...)…here is your chance to get a mint condition one shipped to you for considerably less.

Check out the full size detailed pictures at the following link:
http://rule.smugmug.com/Music/For-Sa...8_HSCqJ#P-1-15

Corners are scuff free, no tears in the carpet, dings in the grill, scuffs on handle, nothing: aside from some lint, she’s as pristine as when she was delivered to me.

From the AccuGroove WEB page: (www.accugroove.com)
Description
AccuGroove is pleased to announce their new Tri 115L speaker cabinet. This is a compact, professional, full range 3-way design 15” cabinet. It was designed for musicians that want the highly acclaimed El Whappo sound, but in a smaller amd more portable package. When matched with the AccuGroove Tri 112L, it’s like having an ElWhappo that has been cut in half for portability and flexibility. In addition it’s an excellent stand alone full range cabinet that can deliver the goods all on its own.
Specifications
• 15” Woofer with die-cast aluminum frames
• 1 – 6” Mid Range
• 2 – Soft dome Textile ferrofluid cooled tweeters w/ neodymium magnets.
• 2 Speakon jacks & 2 sealed ¼” jacks.
• Power Rating: 500 watts RMS at 8 Ω’s
• Freq. Res. & SPL: 38 Hz – 18kHz (35 Hz @-6db) 101 dB SPL
• Weight: 42 lbs.
• Removable 2.5” Pop-in Castors
• Dimensions 21 ¼” H x 24 ¾” W x 18 ¼” D
I would love to hang on to this cabinet, but have two other capable cabinets that are seeing more use and cannot justify keeping this absolutely professional grade cabinet for my current applications. (as an aside, I know how this works, the minute she sells, I’ll GET the need for this kind of articulate air mover…LOL)

Speaker will ship well padded and packed in original box via FedEx with insurance and indirect signature required.

In addition to positive rating here on Talkbass, please check out my 100% feedback and comments from Ebay Buyers/Sellers as well:
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...ab=AllFeedback
I am completely disclosing on item details, prompt in answering all questions and will over communicate on shipping details.
PM me for any additional questions.
Prefer straight sale, but considering the following for trade bait…
  • Fender P’s MIA Std Oly white, rosewood board
  • Fender ’62 re-issue Jazz, Oly/rose
  • Musicman Stingray Oly or Ash Natural/rose
All 4 stringers….I can only count that high…

Paypal or certified check accepted for payment: funds need to clear before I’ll ship.

Peace….

PM replied… plus a 24 hr +2 min bump for the thump….

Let me further expound on why this great cabinet is being listed for sale...

Essentially I currently have 3 complete rigs…and I want to get to 2…

1. Portable Rig: Ampeg PortaBass PB250 head + Ampeg PB112H cabinet (and sometimes + SVT-DI Tube Injection + Sadowsky Outboard Pre)
2. Premium Rig: Thunderfunk TF550B + Accugroove Tri115L
3. Medium Rig: Genz-Benz NEO-PAK 2.5 + Aguilar DB112

I play only for my Church now a days and we have a pretty good PA systems in two different rooms that I play to 3 groups a week…

For the Sunday morning Contemporary service, I recently tried the Thunderfunk with the Aguilar DB112 and am very pleased with the sound and portability of that setup. I play Fender four stringers with a loud drummer (Jay, this is a compliment) and an accomplished acoustic player (Mr. Bill likewise to you sir) so sonically this middy Aggie cab fits very well on stage. It’s a smaller footprint as well. I am thinking that if I need to move more air, another Aggie DB112 or DB112NT can be picked up and stacked under the T-Funk to accommodate that need should it arise.

In the other room, I go amp-less with the SVT-DI and/or Sadowsky on Sundays for “Youth”(before main Contemporary service) and am using the portable Ampeg set Wed. evenings for our “Celebrate Recovery” Service (awesome program, highly recommended…PLUG…. http://www.celebraterecovery.com.au/ there are meetings in your area…)

The Tri115L is without a doubt the best sounding cab I have ever owned paired with the T-Funk head but for my application its really above what is needed: this is a totally “Pro” (transparent, big air mover, precise…) cabinet. I’m pretty much a finger style player and don’t slap and only play 4 stringers so no “extended range” needs. Also, I drive a 3 series sedan that cannot transport this cab…verses my other two.

There are some very good threads from Tom Bowlus on this cab and a lot of TB’ers love them. I got this one when I purchased my T-Funk head.

Because of our good FOH, the portable rig has been the one most used over the last years and has seen both the NEO-PAK and PB250 head used with the Ampeg PB112H cabinet (I love that dolly handle deal!)

However, with newly settling in to the T-Funk and Aguilar and because I have the SVT-DI and I prefer the solid feel of the Ampeg head I have decided to also sell the NEO-PAK (I know not posted yet: need to shoot some quality pics showing how “mint” that head is as well….). The GB is a great amp though and I’m probably going to regret it…Jeff and the crew in Scottsdale are second to none when it comes to responsive service as evidenced so many times on TB. (Yes, it has the factory made 2 Ω conversion). For me, there is more flexibility with keeping the Ampeg PB250 head and SVT-DI (sometimes used alone in amp-less configurations) and I have less to lose when I sell the NEO-PAK.

This gets me down to 2 rigs+ amp/amp-less component support (SVT-DI + Sadowsky DI) that are more than adequate to cover my needs.

1. Portable (practice) Rig: Ampeg PortaBass PB250 head + Ampeg PB112H cabinet (and sometimes + SVT-DI Tube Injection and sometimes + Sadowsky Outboard Pre)
2. Medium (Church) Premium Rig: Thunderfunk TF550B + Aguilar DB112 (can add additional Aguilar 8 ohm cabinet if needed….)

Peace,
