MY SVT-CL,4-5 years old.It came directly from Ampeg,I bought it from a guy with an endorsement. It's super clean, except for a tint, tiny 1/2" tear in the tolex, the size of a dime,smaller.. I just noticed it today, probably from loading, I've brought it to 2 local gigs, and it weighed a ton, I'm not a big guy, it may have gotten scratched somewhere..
I'm actually super protective of it, it stays covered under a cover, never any drinks or ashtrays on it.. and I use it 1x a week, for a 3-4 hour rehearsal..It's always powered on and off correctly, and never pushed too hard(it rarely goes beyond 3,which is loud as hell)
It's warm sounding..really warm,tubey tone..overdrive works nicely too.I've A_B'ed it against Eden 800's and pro 4's,
The SVT-CL was
way louder.
This amp is in great shape,no issues or hums,noises..cosmetically almost perfect, except the 1 tiny tear in tolex.
The amp is fantastic sounding, I had it retubed a couple of years back,at rogue music, who was suggested to me by Doug at 30th st guitars..Rogue does all their amp repairs.
I spent a ton on a Sadowsky and a Lakland this year, and have to pay for a EA head that's on order.
I had it up for trade once,I was looking for an SM900 or pro 2 then..I wound up keeping her because it sounded so much better and louder than everything I compared it to.
I'd keep this if I could, it's perfect sounding,to me.
I figure sell it,downsize my rig to something more portable..
pay for my EA,and hopefully sock away some dough...maybe buy a power amp,add it to my euphonic..

COME CRANK IT UP at my studio,8th ave,midtown..
I have my Sadowsky there..two swr cabs..come by and jam out for an hour if u want..the amp's killer.
one pic shows the amp, behind the two basses..
other pic is stock photo from ampeg's site..
better pics coming...
NYC pickup Only!....sorry.
