Lots of love around here for TF. What might have happened was that the buyer possibly did a search, saw the "Oooou" and "Ahhh" comments on it and decided that it was good enough a price off of the usual $1800 or so.

I do agree though that there's a lot of "fellow salesmanship" that goes on amongst friends sometimes. Sorry to say that I've done it but have since decided very much against commenting unless I would be willing to buy something myself for that price.

EDIT: Stupidity on my part, as pointed out by Jauqo III-X. Thanks for that.

You sold a TF750 for $1050 is a rare selling price on the market. I don't think a TF750 for the price that you sold yours for pops up often.

Do you know for a fact that that's how the buyer came to purchase the amp? And no I'm not being sarcastic.

Agreed. That was an awesome price...depends on the condition too. If it was marked up and perhaps needed a bit of repair then the price is a little less excellent for the buyer.

I guess everyone is concerned with wait...I bought my Thunderfunk 750a $1,000 and sold it for $1050.00(minus ebay fee =$1,000) after a week of playing it against my Aguilar db750, I sooooooooo much wanted the Thunderfunk to sound better because its half the weight, but I decided that I will keep the heavier amp but the MUCH better souning one!!!...screw the weight!!

I do not know this for a fact. It was speculation on my part. I think I put the word "probably" in there, I'll go back, reread, and make the correction if I didn't.

This happens often though...I'm guilty of "stalking" profiles every once in a while, since you can see what threads a user is viewing

Side comment:
I did not take your comment as sarcastic. I have read quite a few of your posts before and realize that is just how you speak. Also, I respect your posts, especially after you dropped a big name endorsement b/c you didn't agree with their business practices. I don't know that there are too many people who would do that.

Mine was in perfect condition...go to youtube and type thunderfunk jeff in boston and you can see my friend Zach demonstrating it for me....to me the Aguilar had a way better tone and punch, the Thunderfunk sounded more brittle...good for a backup up amp no doubt, but no one can say it sounds better than a DB750, no one period!!

That's subjective.
