F/T F/S 90's Trace Elliot RAH600SMX...The Big Guns!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all;

Here's one that doesn't come along every day..

I have here a 1998 Trace Elliot RAH 600 SMX. The amp is in really good shape, and just came back from the shop with a clean bill of health. Very managageable at 32 lbs.

Outstanding sounding, and Versatile

-Hybrid head with a 12ax7 in the preamp, solid state for the power section. Fully blendable between solid state and valve.

-12 band graphic eq....a real treasure here..you can equalize any sound you want, or turn the EQ off..your choice

-two pre shape sounds (classic Trace sound!) ads more flavor to the amp

-dual band compressor...simply the best onboard compressor you will ever use...soft knee, truly functional.

-Amp is fully Bi-amp capable

-All the bells and whistles are here!

-600 British watts! (much louder!) very powerful.

I play in a few bands...one really loud one where the guitarists use Mesa Dual rectifiers, drummer is a basher...

another band very well tamed, great professional players.
This amp covers all of it! I have never had to turn the Input level up past 4. Most of the time it resides on 3. The amp sounds great loud or soft.

So why is it up for trade? Because I have another one! This one is the rack mount version and is my backup. I'm just looking for something else.

680.00 dollars shipped. Or best offer or trade. Paypal accepted. international OK just PM me first. Any questions feel free to ask

Really interested in a Genz shuttlemax 9.2
Just picked up a 9.2, so what else do you have?

Of Course, feel free to make me a cash offer on whatever you feel this baby is worth...I don't bite.

Anyone have an extra Genz Shuttlemax 9.2 that they might want to trade...for a little walk on the wild side?

Thanks guys...I use the non-rackmount model (the AH600SMX) as my main amp and it just kills!

-If anyone wants some live soundclips, I think I have some taken with a cheap camera. The quality is just OK, but you can still hear the Trace goodness coming through the mix.

In answer to some PM's...weight is 32 lbs...not to shabby for an amp of this magnitude.

Make me some offers folks...You never know!

Ok ,

I picked up a Genz Benz Shuutlemax 9.2, so I guess thats off the trade list

Here is a really crappy video of the amp w/ my cover band playing "Santaria".

It was taken with small handheld camera and the picture is practically non existant (low light), but I think you can get the idea of what the amp sounds like...especially when you consider I was going up against 2 guitarist with Mesa Dual rectifiers, and a sort of loud drummer.

wow...four 8 ohm amps...Are you doing demolition work?!

True though, you will never want for headroom with these beasts...and I love the tone!

Yeah, my AH600SMX (my main amp) has the blacklight. Nothing else sounds like these amps. I get compliments all the time from musicians and non-musicians.

Free "it's right before Christmas, I have two kids & wife, bills took all the rest of my cash so I literally have nothing to offer otherwise I most certainly would" bump.

Love TE though, had a 300w SMX 4x10 combo and ran two old school 2x15 cabs off it also and it rocked. Those Brit watts (RMS rating) are fantastic.

For now, saving and waiting for the AH-1200 and BFC cab rig I'll come across some day...

Best of luck on the sale,

Raz

The lid was taken off to photograph the internals. I didn't screw it back down before taking the shot.

I would be all over this if it weren't for the final cash drop to Canada Customs I have to make for a custom Jerzy Drozd bass, that is on it's way soon.
I have an AH250GP12smx. But I would like to get one of these. We will be talking in a couple months if you still have it then.

Is it possible to run only 8 ohms out of this head? What kind of cabs have you used that pair well?
