I bought this cab on TB from its builder. It is built (mainly) to Greenboy specs with 1/2" Baltic Birch and the preferred Eminence drivers. The variations from standard build are a single handle on top, and jacks (combo 1/4"/Speakon) and L-Pad are not recessed.

I received the cab with the control knob on the L-pad broken. I hadn't noticed the flush mount components from the original listing, and the knob got crunched in shipping. I decided that while it sounded great, it was bigger than I really wanted, so I replaced the knob and flipped it for what I paid.

When the next buyer received it, there was something clunking inside, and one of the drivers wasn't operating. I gave a full refund and got the cab back. I opened her up, and found a crossover coil dangling loose, re-connected that, but now the tweet is apparently not operating. (Wired incorrectly by me? Bad L-Pad?)

Additionally, the dust cover on the 6" driver was dented in somewhat, either by FedEx by the ex-buyer who had decided to mess around with it even though he was returning it.

This probably doesn't affect function, but is pretty annoying, considering. I've seen suggestions on how to deal with this, or one might just ignore the matter.

I was rather disappointed with the quality of the wiring inside. I intended to fix it up, and re-list the cab, probably at $500 plus shipping. But I got sidetracked on other projects, and for now will sell it "as-is" * but with a limited guarantee.

To really bring this cab up to 100% you'd need to: Add a jack plate and relocate the speakons and L-pad. Rewire the internals; the components are probably fine. Decide what to do with the midrange speaker dust cover.

If you wanted you could replace the single top handle with two side handles. I have some extra black Dura-tex and would be willing to include a small container for a patch on top.

* "as-is" But I would guarantee that the drivers are operable. If any turned up DOA I'd make good on that. There is a certain amount of mutual trust built into the deal; neither of us tries to screw over the other guy. Right?

Still with me? $400 plus shipping, probably $40 -50 Conus. Paypal preferred.

Phil

Tempting. What's a duamsh?

A vacuum hose on that dust cover will suck it out. Just don't put it right on it. May not be perfect but better.

Duamish: A highly industrialized river which flows into the Puget Sound at Elliott Bay (Seattle, WA), derived from name of local aboriginal inhabitants.

take a piece of tape (clear tape) wrap it around your index finger so the sticky side is out, and gently put your finger with the tape on the dented dust cap. Quickly pull of your finger. Rrepeat as necessary. Worked great for me on many speakers.

OK, why the heck isn't this sold yet? I'm thinking about building one and have started buying parts, so someone get this so I don't lose motivation for making my own.

News Flash:

I built a recessed panel into the back over the weekend, so the speakons and L-pad have a nicer place to live. Tested the L-pad and it appears to be fine. 'Getting close to rewiring this myself, so this deal won't last that much longer. Snap it up folks!
