SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
I have a 1964 Ampeg B-15-N for sale.
This amp is as close to mint as you can get. Nothing has been changed, modified, or replaced. There is not a rip, tear or mark on the tolex of the amp, or cab. No pitting on the metal of the amp. Silk screening still 100% intact.
Here is a list of the things I have noticed about the amp:
-Original speaker cable and power cable (2 prong)
-Original tubes
-Original speaker
-Original cover
-Original Dolly
-All original point to point wiiring, pots and all solder joints
-Original Kick Back rod
-Original Hang tag from 1964
-All serial numbers match
-Never disassembled, though the head was off the chassis to lubricate the pots by a certifed Ampeg Technician
I have never seen one in this shape, ever. You will not be disappointed.
I have noticed 2 (two) small cosmetic issues on this amp which I have to be totally honest with. The cover, shows two wear holes where the rear sliders of the amp have rubbed through. Both holes are smaller than a dime. The other issue is that the Dolly has made contact with something in the past, and shows some wood through on one side, approximately 1" in diameter, on the upper edge. The dolly can rotate around and is not visable when placed in the back. The amplifier itself is flawless, and because of that, I do not see this as an issue. The cover and dolly are replaceable, and can be found on the web.
This amp has been played a few times by myself to check all working options.
I can provide pictures for those that are seriously interested.
I am starting this off at $3500 in hopes I can get close to what I want for it. I will accept trades in partial payment, based on market value of the trades. Here is a list of what I would be interested in, along with the cash value I would take in addition.
Bass Whammy + $2900
Akai Deep Impact + $3000
Marshall DBS Bass Cabinets and Heads (Varies on what is offered. 7400 head with 1x15 and 2x10 plus $1250 as an example)
Candy Red/Black Pedulla Rapture Single pickup model with Rosewood Fretboard + $2000
Other interesting trades also welcome... Worst I can do is say no right???
$3500 OBO plus trades. PM me for pictures.

I will however send High Res photos for anyone interested via email. Just PM me. I know we can work out a great deal. I would prefer local pick up, for the sake of the amplifiers life, and I am willing to travel to meet you within a decent distance. |

Find one in as good, if not better ALL ORIGINAL condition, down to the point to point wiring, and the tubes, cover, price tag, kick back rod and unengraved plate, with matching serial numbers, no pitting on the metal, no marks on the tolex and not in a museum, and for sale... And I'll match the price...
I'll bet you never will...
Now, back to our ADULT for sale thread.
BTW, OBO with trades is an option.

Francis,
You just wanted to authenticate it, which indeed you have. I looked at all your photoos an have to admit, It all looks original alright. Since it was made in the 10th month of 1964, I presume it has eyelet board circuitry rather than a printed circuit board, which I believe to be the type that is preferred.
Good luck with it,
Best,
Jess |

I wonder then how much I could get for my 1964 Ampeg SB-12 in near perfect condition? And to think I only paid $800 for it 3 months ago! |

And I was bragging a little... Though the Audi was free "Mother in law lost her license", and My BMW was only $11,500... Less than the Camry new...
I will shoot some pics tomorrow, and I'll post some, and send some out.
PM me your email address, and I can send some high res photos. |

I have never found, seen, or even heard about one in this shape, ever. Jess Oliver has never seen one this clean since he stopped working for Ampeg...
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame does not have one in this shape... Ampeg offered over $4000 in trade for it...
This is Museum quality. It is no skin off my back. I can hold on to it for another 20 years, and when all the others are torn up, destroyed, with parts replaced, and other damage, I'll have the only one left like it was, with all the pieces from 1964. This is not an amp to play, but an investment. I don't play it, and I have owned it for over a year. |

Crappy behaviour, even if it were allowed.
It is a museum-worthy piece, FWIW. |

I can't believe the poor tact being displayed in this thread. I would be livid if someone jumped in to my sale thread blasting the asking price. It's no one else's business what the seller paid for it... most of us have gotten a steal once or twice and then ended up selling for a profit down the line. Be jealous if anything!
Free bump from an admittedly jealous TB'er! Ya might hear from me in a few months if it's still around. |

All I can say about the tact, is true colors.
I might be lowering the price soon, so keep in touch. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
