FS: 1972 Ampeg V-4

Sign in to disble this ad
I have an old Ampeg V-4 that I'm looking to unload to fund a trip in October. Believe it's from 1972. It's a relic'd road warrior... but it's all cosmetic besides the reverb which does not work. The pots can be a bit scratchy at times, but once you're dialed in it's nothing but impressive tube power and tone. The power light also flickers a bit, but again it's purely cosmetic. 2 inputs, Vol 1 (with 3 way boost switch), Vol 2 (with 3 way boost switch), Treble (with 3way frequency switch), Mid (with 3 way frequency switch), Bass, and Reverb.

SOLD.

Yup, the price reflects the cosmetic wear and lack of reverb, but also I need $350 for the trip, so I'll be content to pass on a good deal for that.

there is no duty as it's made in america and subject to pst/gst only ,and customs brokerage fees can be avoided by self brokerage....trying to sneak anything across will only get you big fines

I don't think you'd really have to sneak it across, I've traveled with equipment across the border plenty of times.

BTW, GREAT price.

These are great, great amps - I have one just like it. If anyone buys it and wants to know the faceplate text (it looks pretty hard to read - I could be wrong), PM me and I'll fill you in. You can also buy replacement faceplates.
