FS 1973 Sunn Coliseum Bass Head-Near Mint SOLD

Sign in to disble this ad
1973 Sunn Coliseum Bass head for sale. It is 100% stock and 100% original with no repairs or mods ever being done to it. It works perfect (as new) and the pots, switches and jacks were cleaned with Caig DeOxit (no scratchiness or wierd noises). This vintage Coliseum Bass head is about as clean (inside and out) as you'll ever find. You can find them in rough shape for $400-$500 but this one immaculate, and would make a nice addition to anyones' vintage bass amp collection. The only thing missing is one of the caps for one of the handles.

SOLD!

This is the same model that John Entwistle of the who used and made famous.

This early version of the Coliseum is rated at 250-300 watts RMS @ 4 ohms, and 350-400 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. asking $700 + actual shipping fees in the ContUSA. (local pickup is also okay in Southern California (my zip is 91360)

Monster size filter caps:

Built 11/29/73:

I love the hand tied lacing on the wiring!!! They don't build 'em like that anymore!

You ought to post these photos in the "guts" thread (in the Amps forum).

thanks for all the nice comments guys.

yeah, its a real beauty. i actually hate to sell it but i have WAY too many amps right now.

i'm also listing it on the 'bay today for $750 (since the ebay fees are so obnoxious).
