ITEM SOLD TO RIBBITNEIGH FOR $1500 WITH LOCAL PICKUP! I am selling a MINT 1981 Ampeg SVT (MTI Era Real SVT) with matching 2x10 and 1x15 cabs. This amp was just serviced with the following work:
- All new preamp tubes (JJ Tesla 12DW7s and 12AX7s)
- All new power amp driver tubes (EH 12BH7s and JJ Tesla 12DW7)
- All new power amp power tubes (Sovtek 6550s with the solid metal base).
- New caps.
- All components tested.
- Biased and balanced.
- Volume pot on channel 1 replaced with logarithmic pot for more control over deafeningly loud volume (original fully-functional linear pot included in sale)
- Head cabinet retolexed with real Ampeg Tolex
- Wicker/Tweed grill cloth installed on head and speaker cabinets.
I spent over $600 on restoring what was already a solid amp. You simply WILL NOT ever see another REAL SVT in this good of a condition. At every gig I take this on, other musicians comment that it is the most beautiful, best sounding amp they have ever seen.
The cabinets are as follows:
• 1x SVT-210HEN 2x10 speaker cabinet with horn with wicker/tweed grill cloth and custom made cover (included but not shown).
• 1x SVT-15EN 1x15 speaker cabinet with wicker/tweed grill cloth and upgraded industrial caster wheels.
I am asking the following:
Ampeg SVT (MTI Era) - $1100 obo (buyer pays shipping).
Ampeg SVT-210HEN 2x10 speaker - $300 obo (buyer pays shipping).
Ampeg SVT-115EN 1x15 speaker - $300 obo (buyer pays shipping).
I would prefer to sell everything as a package deal and am willing to work with buyer on price for package deal. I live in Sacramento, CA and am willing to drive 50 miles for delivery for serious buyer. I can't believe I am selling this, but I need the money.
