FS: '65 Ampeg B15N - Restored by Jess Oliver

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought this from a TBer a few months ago. The original thread is here: FS: 1965 Ampeg B-15N Combo Jess Oliver Restored

It's a fantastic amp in great shape, but I've realized that it's just not what I need. So, up on the block it goes.

Up for your consideration is a gorgeous 1965 Ampeg B15N restored by the man who invented it: Jess Oliver. It's in fantastic condition. The good: it works beautifully with no issues whatsoever. I believe that the speaker is original. The bad (if you can call it that): there are a few spots where the tolex has been repaired. I've tried to capture these in the photos.

If there are specific things you'd like pictures of, please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Sorry, but I will not ship this. I'm in the Chicago area and could possibly work out a deal to meet somewhere within an hour or two of the city. $1400 or best offer. Paypal or cash only.

Wow, that is fantastic, man. I'm really tempted, I wish I could swing it (and justify it). Bump for the Holy Grail!

Wow. Killer deal for the price. I saw a non-working '66 B15N sell on eBay for $1,230 earlier this year.

Do you know if this is fixed or cathode bias? Also, is it the original "double baffle" design or the the newer baffle with metal spacers (like my '66 B-15N)?

It's a good thing you won't ship it, I don't feel so bad about not being able to afford it right now.

If you change your mind about shipping, let me know. These are very easy to ship and I am in the market for one. Thanks

I don't know. Tell me what to look for and I'll figure it out, though.

From the picture it looks like double baffle. So I'd guess cathode bias too.

Why would anyone get a Heritage when they could get the real deal right here for 1/3 the cost!
