FS '89 Trace Elliot AH500X MKV GP11 Stereo/Biamp 250w

For your consideration, the biggest SS bass amp Trace Elliot built in the 80s, the AH500x. It is a genuine made in England powerhouse with two non-bridgeable outputs. The amp has a three power output options, internal bi-amp, dual mono, and true stereo (input 1/amp 1, input 2/amp 2).

On top of the three-way switch, each poweramp out also has an individual level knob on the back of the amp; along with the usual gain and master level knobs on the front. This lets you hook up nearly any combination of cabs and balance them easily.

The amp will give a really loud 250w (British Trace Elliot watt ratings will spank any modern advertising gimmicky ratings to death) to each channel at 4 ohms, and has 1/4 and 3 pin outputs.

For the few problems:

The dreaded Trace graphic eq and mid-cut switch failure. The graphic eq has been broken for as long as I've had this amp, and you can get the mid-cut button to work; but it is clearly not working well (imagine a keyboard button that doesn't pop back up). This is a VERY common problem for these amps, and is NOT A PROBLEM with the included brand new 2 button foot-switch. The eq and mid-cut work just fine, but you need the switch to engage them (they do not stay "on" between power ups).

Also the amp is 20-21 years old and has no doubt seen some of the world (starting in England I reckon). The metal corners on the case have lost some paint and a few of the rivet and screw heads have rusted a little.
There are little nicks, scrapes, and a couple tiny cuts and such on the tolex covering, but it is overall in good shape.
Somewhere it also lost the plastic handle that would have been attached to one side. The mounts for the handle are still there, and I also cannot imagine anyone "one handing" this amp with a small carrying handle (it takes two hands and proper lifting technique).

So far as a price, I got this nearly three years ago on a fluke and haven't seen another one just like it since. Right now on ebay someone has what is basically 1/2 of this power wise for 400+shipping, and that doesn't have all the features either.

I'll shoot for $600 + shipping and that includes a new 2 button Trace bass amp pedal too.

I am looking for cash, paypal echeck, money order, or if worst comes to worst; paypal.

I am both ebay and paypal verified, look me up under the same name, Nightlyraider.
