Exclamation FS: Acme Low B-2 Series II 4 ohms - sent to EBAY

Sorry everyone but I've got to sell this quicker than expected so I've put it up on eBay again (I had it up there and removed it) but now I'll see it through. Thanks everyone for your support. Talkbass ROCKS!

---Original Thread---
Alrighty... I've decided to do it. I'm gonna get rid of my Acme Low B-2 2x10 4 ohm so I can get a second Low B4. I so really want an 8x10 Acme rig of doom!

The speakers are new - when I bought this cab used, the speakers were creased from overpowering, one more than the other. Andy Lewis at Acme hooked me up with new speakers so the two 10"s are new (and broken in, its been a few months).

Asking $400 Shipped to continental US via FedEx ground.

It is in great shape and sounds fantastic. My only regret is the down time without it while I wait for my Low B4 to arrive... but alas, this is the only way I can get the $money$ I need to buy one.

-Rock on!

Huh?
I was just wondering why you pulled it off of eBay?

I'd love to have that one, but can't swing it right now, so...

Bump

Well, I was in a rush to sell it *fast* but now I'm not so much in a rush. I think I have the cash I need to buy the 4x10 cab I want (another Acme B4 at 4 ohms). So I pulled it off the 'bay and updated my post here.

Now I'll use the cash from this to buy a power amp. Probably a Carvin or QSC or something.

I'm actually kind of surprised this hasn't sold yet, given how much people seem to demand the 4ohm version whenever these go up for sale. It's got new cones, the lightbulb (supposedly better than the switch), and the old style connection plate which IMO has better connection options. And a new one is $540.

If it was an 8 ohm I would have jumped already. I have an Ashly FET2000-M power amp (500x2@4 ohms/1350@4 ohms bridged) and 3, 4 or 6 space SKB rack case if you are interested in a trade. It's a little older and heavy compared to more modern units but looks new, works great and just had a checkup recently.

It's worth a shot since you wondered if anyone was interested and you mentioned needing an amp.

I was hoping for a little more power than that. But thanks for trying incubus!

You know, I'd be happy to install an ohms switch so you could get your 8 ohms load. Kidding!

1350 watts would be good for one Low B-4 (ok, maybe 1500 would be better).

You should patent that ohm switch!

Good luck with your sale!

What is the weight on this cab? I've heard good things, and am looking to offload my powerhouse 212 in favor of something with 10"s. Interesting...

They feel much lighter than their advertised 50lbs--probably due to their very compact size.

(Free bump for a great cabinet and a cool guy!)

Yep, and someone here on Talkbass installed a strap style handle on the side of theirs so they could carry them one handed.

I've thought about doing that with mine. But instead I just carry it with two hands and I put my rack on top.

Some other expenses just came up so I've put this up on eBay to sell quickly.

Thanks everyone! Check eBay if you're still interested!
