FS Acoustic 370 bass amp head

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,
I have an Acoustic 370 bass amp head for sale. I am the original owner and it's been well cared for its entire life. I even have the original soft cover. There are a few scuffs in the tolex but overall appearance and condition of the amp is very good.
I've played this amp since the 70s and it's been a dependable beast of an amp. I've never needed more power on any gig. (Usually run it around 3).
It has been recently serviced and four caps replaced (the goo that holds them and helps dissipate the heat had become dried out). The guy said he also replaced a few additional parts that were still in good working order but looked like they might be questionable in the future.
I have it on the Craig's list in Nashville with a firm price of $495. For now, I'm going to try to sell it for local pick up only (meaning I prefer not to ship it). If it doesn't sell that way then I will ship elsewhere, I'm just always nervous about shipping nice gear. I know people do it all the time, I'm just one of those people that worries about how things are taken care of...but then that's why this amp is in such good shape.

Bump for an awesome head. I bought my second one last month here and I couldn't be happier.

garmenteros,
I notice you're selling a 150b. Those were nice heads too. Great sound, just less volume.

God these are great amps. Rain, sleet, snow, beer, 120 degrees to 20 below, 6 nights a week. For years! The only thing I needed to do was replace the power cord because I WORE IT OUT Solid state but loads of character, and loud! The SVT alternative back in the day. I probably saved $500 on tubes I didn't need to replace.
Big ol' bump

yeah, the 150b is a good head but I don't need it anymore. I wouldn't mind keeping and if it doesn't sell I'll probable get an efficient cab to leave at another permanent practice space I have cooking up. Your 370 looks pretty clean, this is a great deal and I hope it goes to a good home.

Thanks. Yeah, I think the only way a 370 could be in better shape is if it had been put in a closet for its entire life and never gigged.

emblymouse, you are right - they are rugged. I keep reading now about how people carry a back up amp. I never had a backup the entire time I gigged with this head. Never even occurred to me.
