FS: Aguilar DB-359

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD. Thanks!

PRICE DROP $1100

Aguilar DB-359
All-Tube, 200 Watts at 4 or 8 Ohms
2x 12AX7
1x 12AU7
4x 6550

This unit still has all its original tubes.

Here's a link to the Aguilar manual (PDF)

The headcase from my previous thread is spoken for, so now it's just the head, and the custom 3U Calzone case. Calzone is sold

Asking $1300 shipped for the head.

Asking $1100 shipped for the head.

I've done a bit more research on the current market value of these puppies... and $950 is a steal, $1200 is top end, so I'm pricing it at $1100. That doesn't leave me as much wiggle room re: haggling, shipping etc, but there it is. Asking $1100.

Asking $125 shipped for the Calzone

I'll do both (package deal) for $1350.

The head will ship in the original Aguilar box with protective foam. (very substantial packaging.)

Dogears were added to the rear of the head to wrap power cord.

Head weighs 50 pounds.

I can do a local sale in Columbus OH, Cincinnati OH, Louisville KY, Indianapolis IN... thereabouts.

Paypal is fine with me.

Thursday bump.

Solid State Guys: This all-tube head is super clean... one of the cleanest tube heads I've ever heard. Here's your chance to see what the tube fuss is all about, without losing your ability to "Wooten it up" if need be.

Tube Guys: This is a very hi-fi sounding head, but it still has that natural power-tube compression we love. If you need a clean 200 tube-watts, this is a head to check out for sure.

Weekend bump. Shoot me questions if you got 'em.

I'm not really accepting trades, but I'm not made of stone, either. I won't bite.

Well, it weighs 22.6796185 kilograms!

(Yeah... that's every bit of 50 pounds, and every bit of 200 Watts.)

I see you say no trades, but I just want to mention that I have a NIB (as in brand spankin' new) T.C. Electronic RH450 & footswitch available if you might be interested in a trade. A-grade unit, not a 2nd, blem, demo, etc... Any interest?

The RH450 is definitely an engineering marvel and a cool amp, but I'm kind of going in the other direction: more tubes, not less... (and I really am drowning in amps at this point)

Thanks for the fair offer, but I can't bite on the RH450.
