FS: Aguilar DB359 w custom cases

Sign in to disble this ad
EDIT: ON HOLD pending sale of both cases. Will re-list head in a separate thread.

For Sale: Aguilar DB359

Sorry, no trades whatsoever.

All-tube, 200 Watts at 4 or 8 ohms.

(There is allegedly a 2 ohm mod for this unit floating around the internet, but this unit is stock.)

Headcase is one of a kind, custom built. (I paid $300).

Road case is a custom-built Calzone I purchased from a TB'er earlier this year. (He paid $300, I paid $150).

The amp is in pristine shape, I've owned it since 2004 and it's only been gigged once or twice. I used it in my home studio.

It's IDEAL for studio use, since the DI (pre or post EQ) works when the amp is on standby, so you get a super-clean, warm, tube DI for recording.

So that's roughly $500 worth of custom cases, and arguably $1200 worth of amp.

I'm asking $1500 plus actual shipping costs for EVERYTHING. I will *NOT* split these items up unless someone makes me a ridiculous offer on one of the cases.

I'm in southwest ohio, so I could do a local cash sale in Cincinnati OH, Louisville KY, Indianapolis IN, Columbus OH... thereabouts.

Head weighs about 55 pounds (in headcase), and the Calzone case weighs about 40 pounds all by itself, so start eating your Wheaties.

Paypal is fine with me.

So that's $1500 plus shipping.

Questions?

If my memory serves, it's 20.5" deep in the case. (I can double check this afternoon and send you a PM). It's deep enough in front to protect the grab bars, and deep enough in back to wrap the cable and still stand on its rear end. (Dog ears were added to the rear grille to wrap the cable.)

But even though it's that deep, the rear feet are spaced a little further forward so it balances properly and sits nice on top of a TL-606 or Boogie/Diesel 1x15. I can shoot a pick of the bottom and get some measurements of the feet tonight.

Surprisingly, my memory DOES serve. Case is 20.5" deep. As promised, here's a pic of the bottom feet with dimensions so you can see how well it will sit atop your favorite cab.

Here's more info on the Calzone case:
23.75" wide
11" tall
19.75" deep with lids off
26.5" deep with lids on

Bathroom scale says 45-ish pounds.

Bottom

detail

Front of case, shockmount foam

Rear of case, with 2U bracket to keep your Aggie snug.

I've gotten a fair amount of interest in both cases, so if you want this head in this headcase, shoot me a PM on the quick quick.

Otherwise, I will split these up in a day or so and relist the head all by its lonesome.

ON HOLD.

I've got buyers for both cases, so I'm going to close this thread when they sell and re-list the head separately.
