FS: Aguilar DB680

Been sitting on a bookshelf for over a year so it's time to go. Still sounds great - and condition is good also. You will notice a very small space (in the photo) on the top panel. I just noticed this, and I'm not positive if the panel is warped or exactly what the deal is. It's very a minor and solely cosmetic detail, though; I'm just giving full disclosure.
The preamp sounds like all of them - big, huge, tube goodness!!
$800 shipped conus

Please put me next in line if it's still available. What's the serial number? Thanks, DM

PS - Very cool radio underneath the 680.

The top panel is just installed incorrectly because the wrong screws were used. The top panel should fit underneath the lip of the front panel and the screws are supposed to have bevel heads so they sit flush...at least that's how it works on mine.

Bump for a great preamp!

Thank you, Testing1two. I should have known that. You also win for my new favorite avatar.

Serial number is 248. Dee-man, you are 2nd in line and I'll hit you back if #1 chooses to pass!

All hail Babbitt!

How's the TD-1 working for you btw?

TD-1 is crushing it! I went through a bunch of different comps and decided I liked it best with a Distressor.

Ok, top panel properly seated, and I snapped a pic of the inside while it was open. Looks like a little bit of corrosion on the transformer, but I've never had anything but good results from this pre. I replaced with the above mentioned TD-1 because it had more specific eq points.

Pertinent info went down in PM's, so I just forgot to post about that. Had a meeting time and a plan for an on the spot transaction and the buyer gracefully bailed a couple days before. All good - stuff happens!
