FS: Aguilar DB750 w/Telefunken/Amperex upgrade

This amp needs no introduction. It's a true classic. Tone? Check. Power? Check? Seemingly limitless headroom? Check. I am the original owner. I purchased it new in the summer of 2008. It's been in the Gator 3U shallow rack case since day one. It's absolutely dead mint (except for small marks around the screw holes where it mounts to the rack). I have installed a NOS Telefunken 12AX7 in V1, and a NOS Amperex 12AU7 in V4. I will include the original Sovtek 12AX7 and 12AU7, and I will also include a spare NOS Telefunken 12AX7, and a spare Amperex 12AU7 -I purchased them both in pairs. The Gator case actually makes it easier to transport the amp. It seems to center the weight pretty well, and the handles are pretty robust. As you can see in the pics, the rear of the amp does stick out a bit, but the cover does fit over it for transport. I am asking $1700 (shipped/insured CONUS only) for everything. If you don't want/need the Gator, we can talk.
Thanks for looking.

I'm not interested in trades. Please don't PM me asking to sell the tubes separately. Thanks!

Just curious if i might. Why are you selling? These are supposed to be monsters. I hope my question is not too imposing. I've been considered moving to Aggie stuff from the Roland D-bass 210 and 15 extention which is surprisingly a great package itself. PEACE and thanks!!

You are correct-these amps are monsters!

This was my first DB750. Everyone that owns one (or has owned one) ends up selling it at some point. After a few months, seller's remorse sets in. Then the realization that there is no substitute settles in. This is followed by a frantic search for a replacement on the used market.

I'm just beginning that journey!

Seriously, I'm just thinning the herd.

Cheers,
Kevin

I have my db750 in the same Gator case. This was at the suggestion of Big String and Coyoteboy. It works out great.

I have to laugh at the guys that have rolled through two or three of these. It's just too great of an amp to let go of. I hooked mine up to a pair of Bergantino AE410's and it was just monsterous. Talk about major pants flap.
