FS/FT Ampeg B100-R Rocket Bass Combo w/Free Shipping

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, look what I've got. A very cool looking, and fantastic sounding, Ampeg 1x15 Rocket Bass combo amp. It is in great overall condition. It is a little dusty, and has some minor nicks here and there, but nothing serious at all. Just normal wear for a used amp. All of the controls work, knobs, buttons, and switches. This is the made in the U.S.A. version.

I have to let this go to fund a bass that I committed to buy. Otherwise I think it would be a keeper.

$359, U.S. shipping included. Please pm me with any questions. Thanks!

Own a Precision or Jazz? Think about how nice this would look sitting next to it. Classic. You could probably get gigs without even having to play.

How loud is this thing? Like how much louder than a set of drums would you say I could get with it?

I own the B-50r and it's not loud enough for me, so maybe this would be a good solution.

I only use this as a practice amp at my house, so I am not sure how it will do in a band setting. It is about double the wattage of the b50r, with the larger speaker as well, so I imagine there would be some extra volume. Wish I could be more helpful.

These things get insanely loud for 100 watts. I don't know if it has to do with the cabinet or what. I've got one and I'd love to add a second and split to each. The tone of this combo is what makes them special. Vintage thump is there in spades!

Could you connect an extention speaker cab to this rig or is it a stand alone unit? Sorry for my ignorance,Johnny.

It doesn't have an extension jack.

I have the B-15T 100W, on stage with drums,3 guitars, keyboard and 5 vocals I only have mine set to 4 on the volume. Plenty loud! Drummer hears/feels it plenty and in a 400+ auditorium everyone hears it plenty. Ampeg makes awesome rigs! If it wasn't for the same reason, new bass being built, I'd bought this 15 mins. ago!!! I love this rig!!!

Speaking as a drummer, it's a pretty close race between the B-100R and a set of drums, volume-wise.

Speaking as the owner of a B-100R, it's a great-sounding combo!

Mine will keep up with a Fender Twin and drums at moderate volume easily. For a larger club, you'd definitely want to mic it, though.

Bump for a cool amp at a good price!

A fellow TBer asked if this was drilled for casters on the bottom. I checked, and it is, however one of the four metal plates that the casters screw in to is missing. I do not have the casters for this. Thanks!

I just bought a big old power amp, so I might be interested in trades involving a high end preamp like a Focusrite ISA One, or something from Universal Audio, Summit, Avalon, etc.

I can't believe it's still here too, I love my B100R! I think it's the time of year, so close to Christmas, people just aren't buying right now. If you wait until tax return time, things will start flowing again!

B100R bump!
