FS: Ampeg B25 B 2x15" cabinet... southern NY

Hello all,

I've had this beast for a while now and haven't used it in several years. I'm unsure of its age though it has certainly seen its fair share of use. The grille cloth has rips and tears in it as shown, the tolex is ripped and coming off around the bottom of the cab and has rips and whatnot everywhere else, the bottom few inches of plywood seem to be separating in some spots and there are a few chunks missing... It looks like someone hacked a port into the baffle inside (I'm guessing each speaker was in a sealed zone?), the screws holding the back on are not right and many of the screwholes are stripped out, the wiring is messy and the selector switch is gone, and it's currently missing an input jack (although I can certainly spruce up the wiring and add a jack for the sake of anyone interested testing it out).

On the plus side, it oozes mojo. The cabinet sounded freakin' great with an early '70's V4-B that I had and sold about five years ago, which is how long this has sat unused. Fun fact: according the the previous owner, a local music promoter who had it for 20+ years, this cab was apparently used by the Edgar Winter Group when they played in this area and left it behind. I can take more/specific pictures for anyone interested.

I'm asking $80. I live a few minutes from exit 16 on the NYS Thruway and work during the week in Poughkeepsie so it's possible to meet up there or somewhere in between. Shoot me a PM for more information. Thanks.

What kind of speakers are those?! Id grab that cab in a heartbeat if it was within 100 miles, but alas...

I don't have any idea what the speakers are or if they're even stock. Perhaps another TBer can chime in with any information.

Those are mid-1970 eminence speakers but I don't think they're stock. The interior of the cab looks like there was a bunch of padding added.

It definitely looks like an early cab with the round jack plate (originally a 4 pin?) and no impedance switch. The interior of mine which dates to 73 by the speakers looked like this:

So original had no ports? Sealed? And the look like same square mag speaks that came in the B15.

Small ports. You can see them in the bottom on mine but they're covered with stuffing in the OPs cab. The CTS speakers that came with mine are the same speakers as that era B15 as best I can tell.
